How the plans differ
All three plans include the same editor, the same physics engine, the same Lua runtime and the same publishing. What changes is capacity: how many games you can keep live, how big and how many multiplayer rooms you can run, and how much built-in AI you get.
Free
For making a game and playing it with friends. One published game, rooms for up to four players, one room open at a time for an hour, and a little AI assistant use every day. No card needed and it does not expire.
Creator
For when the whole group shows up. Ten published games, rooms for up to eight players, three rooms at once for four hours each, and a monthly AI allowance you can use whenever you like. $16 a month, or $144 a year.
Studio
For running several games at once: fifty published games, ten rooms open at once, and three times Creator's AI. $40 a month, or $360 a year.
About the AI allowance
The allowance covers the built-in assistant in the editor. When it runs out, the assistant draws on your credit balance. Connecting your own AI tool over MCP (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and others) does not use the allowance at all; those tools bill through their own provider. See AI game builder.
What never costs extra
- Players. Anyone can open the link to a single-player game; joining a multiplayer room needs a free sign-in.
- Hosting. Published games and multiplayer rooms run on Airogel's servers on every plan.
- Updates. Republish as often as you like; the link stays the same.

- Is it really free?
- Yes. The Free plan has the full editor, one published game and multiplayer rooms for up to 4 players. No card needed.
- Do my friends need an account?
- Not for a single-player game: they open the link and play. To join a multiplayer room they sign in, which is free.
- Do I need to know how to code?
- Not to start. The AI assistant builds objects and writes scripts from a description. When you want more control, every script is Lua you can open and change.
- What kinds of games can I make?
- 3D games with real physics: shooters, racers, tank battles, dodge ball, worlds to explore. Every demo on this page was made in Airogel.
- What do I need to run it?
- A recent browser on a laptop or desktop. There is nothing to install. Published games can be played on phones too, with touch controls.
- How does the AI allowance work?
- Every plan includes AI for the built-in assistant: some each day on Free, a monthly amount on Creator and Studio. After that it draws on your credit balance. Connecting your own AI tool does not use your allowance.
